Bobrisky Responds to VeryDarkMan’s ₦15 Million Bribery Allegation Involving EFCC Officials

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has denied accusations of bribing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials. The allegations surfaced when influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky, where he reportedly confessed to offering ₦15 million to EFCC officers to dismiss money laundering charges.

The recording also suggested that Bobrisky avoided prison time, claiming that his godfather arranged for him to serve his six-month sentence in a lodge. Bobrisky was convicted of naira mutilation in April 2024, receiving a six-month jail sentence.

However, Bobrisky took to Instagram to refute the claims, stating, “I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”

In response to the allegations, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has launched an investigation, summoning both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan for questioning. According to an official statement, a team of investigators has been tasked with examining the bribery claims, and both parties have been invited to the EFCC’s Lagos office to assist in the probe.
